Adding CSS and JavaScript to a Variant

Variant code modifies the context page(s) in a project.

Evolv modifies page elements, styles, layouts, and functionality using the code inside a variant. As a running project moves from the Initialization phase to the Optimization phase, variants are combined by the Evolv algorithm to identify the best-performing set of changes to a web page or series of web pages.

To add CSS or Javascript to a variant

1. Select Edit Mode from the dropdown in the top-right of the Web Editor.
   • Or select View > Edit Mode from the menu.
2. Select an existing variant, or create a new variant.
3. Add your CSS and or JavaScript code to the relevant fields on the right of the Web Editor.
