This article describes how to create an audience in the Manager.
Audiences are built using various attributes, such as devices or browsers, or data made available through integrations.
Steps to create a new audience
- Open the Manager.
- Select the Audiences option on the left.
- Select the NEW AUDIENCE button.
- You can also select Define Audience in the draft view when setting up your project.

- Enter the audience name and an optional description.
- Your audience name could be, for example: “Mobile Users” or “Chrome Only.”
- Use groups, rules, and operators to build the audience.
- Some audience attributes are automatically available.
- Location (country)
- Device (Mobile, Desktop, Tablet)
- Platform (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux)
- Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, IE)
- You can also create a custom audience using your own attributes by updating the context.
- The audience builder allows for multiple boolean filtering options and the nesting of criteria.
- Some audience attributes are automatically available.
- Press SAVE.
Here's an example of an audience that includes mobile users who have Chrome or Safari as their browser.
The logic in this audience says:
- Match any user with a Mobile device, AND their web browser is equal to either Chrome OR Safari.
