This article explains how to create a variable in the Web Editor.

A variable is a collection of mutually exclusive modifications (variants) applied to a context when the project is deployed. Variants in a given variable will never render together in an experiment combination.

Creating a variable

Open the Web Editor.
- Make sure you're in Edit Mode. Use the drop-down in the top-right of the screen.

In the Contexts panel on the left, move your mouse over the context row and click on the plus (+) icon on the right.
- Enter a name in the empty field and press enter on your keyboard.
Editing and deleting a variable
Right-click a variable to change its name or delete it.
