This article explores how Evolv AI helps you to evaluate, hypothesize, and generate actionable ideas, combining AI insights with your own expertise to drive meaningful improvements to your key metrics.
Evolv AI’s Manager offers a powerful toolset for users to explore and optimize their digital experiences. Last month, we introduced “Views,” that lets you upload snapshots of your customer journey into Evolv AI’s recommendation engine where it will:
- Evaluate: Assess the design of your digital experience to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation
- Hypothesize: Develop testable assumptions that address the identified opportunities.
- Ideate: Generate practical ideas to implement and test your hypotheses.
We’ve enhanced the AI ideation experience with new human-in-the-loop capabilities.
Collaborate with AI by Adding Your Own Perspective
With the latest update to Evolv AI, you can now take a more active role in the ideation process and collaborate closely with the AI, either by building on the opportunities generated by Evolv AI’s recommendation engine, or by adding opportunities you’ve identified based on your own analysis and experience.
- Add Opportunities: Identify and input specific areas of your digital experiences where you see potential for improvement. Opportunities may be based on user feedback, data analysis, or any heuristic evaluation you conduct.
- Propose Hypotheses: Suggest testable solutions based on your insights and experience.
- Come up with Ideas: Describe actionable steps to test your hypotheses, or let Evolv AI generate ideas for you.
Organizing Your Ideas: Start from Scratch with a Structured Approach
You can add hypotheses and ideas to existing opportunities from Evolv AI, or build upon opportunities you’ve added yourself. Understanding the hierarchical structure of Evolv AI’s Ideation feature will help you effectively organize your ideation process:
Ideation Hierarchy:
- Opportunities: Begin by identifying specific areas for improvement. For example: "Cookie Notification Obstructiveness" could be an opportunity where the current cookie banner might be interrupting the user experience.
- Hypotheses: Once opportunities are identified, develop hypotheses that propose potential solutions. For example: "Introducing a timed delay for the cookie notification will decrease bounce rates."
- Ideas: Finally, generate ideas—actionable steps that can be tested to validate your hypotheses. For example: "Implement a delay before displaying the cookie notification by 10 seconds."
By following this structured approach, you'll be able to systematically explore and prioritize your ideas, ensuring that your digital experience optimizations are both strategic and impactful.
How to Collaborate with AI: A Brief Guide
Adding your own opportunities, hypotheses, and ideas in Evolv AI is straightforward:
-
Opportunities:
- Navigate to the ideation page in Evolv AI’s manager.
- Click on the “write” icon at the bottom.
- A prompt will appear, allowing you to add a new opportunity.
- Evolv AI will automatically generate hypotheses and ideas based on your opportunity description.
- Hypotheses: After defining an opportunity, you can continue collaborating with Evolv AI. Either use the system-generated hypotheses and ideas, or add your own hypothesis that proposes a specific intervention.
- Ideas: If you’ve added your own hypothesis, Evolv AI can suggest ideas for you to implement or you can formulate and input your own ideas to be tested in experiments.
By enabling you to add your own opportunities, hypotheses, and ideas, while also benefiting from AI-generated recommendations, Evolv AI provides a holistic and adaptable approach to ideation.
