This article reviews how Views are used to map your customer experience and the way Evolv uses AI to evaluate your designs, discover optimization opportunities, and generate ideas to address them.

Overview
Views & View States
The Views feature gives you the ability to map your customer experience and use Evolv AI’s latest generative AI capabilities to discover new optimization opportunities and generate ideas to test them.
In the simplest terms, a view is a meaningful point in the customer journey. This could be a page or type of page, or distinct screens in a multi-step process.
Each view can have one-or-more view states. These states represent meaningful visual differences that indicate a change in the experience.
For example, a product detail page in which the required product options have or have not been selected, where the selected state of the product options and the status of the Add-to-Cart button has changed.
Distinguishing between these differences allows the AI to discover relevant opportunities across all states of the customer experience.
Ideation
When you create a new view or add a new view state, the AI will automatically evaluate the design and identify opportunities to improve the experience..
An opportunity highlights an aspect of the design that may cause friction in the customer experience. After finding opportunities, the AI will come up with different strategies, or hypotheses, to address the opportunities. Ideas for each hypothesis are generated and sorted by potential impact.

Managing Ideation Results
Archiving & Feedback
From time to time you may encounter an idea that doesn’t align with your business goals or touches an area of your customer experience you don’t want or can’t test. In this case, use the “Archive” action to remove it from the Ideation results.
Note – When you archive a result, all of it child items are archived with it.
You’ll also have the opportunity to leave feedback the AI will use in future Ideation to avoid recommending a similar idea.
Generating More Results
To discover more opportunities, click the AI icon at the top of the Ideation list. This will automatically generate new hypotheses and ideas for each opportunity.
To generate more hypotheses and ideas, click the AI icon at each level of the hierarchy.
Testing Generated Ideas
When you find an idea you’re interested in testing, you can easily copy the description and add it to a new or existing project in the Manager or Web Editor.
The hypothesis can be used as the variable, and individual ideas as variants.
