The Views feature gives you the ability to map your customer experience and use Evolv AI’s latest generative AI capabilities to discover new optimization opportunities and generate ideas to test them.
In the simplest terms, a view is a meaningful point in the customer journey. This could be a page or type of page, or distinct screens in a multi-step process.
Each view can have one-or-more view states. These states represent meaningful visual differences that indicate a change in the experience.
For example, a product detail page in which the required product options have or have not been selected, where the selected state of the product options and the status of the Add-to-Cart button has changed.
Distinguishing between these differences allows the AI to discover relevant opportunities across all states of the customer experience.

The view detail page is a space for ideating on the issues that affect that view.
Ideation
Evaluations in Evolv AI help you systematically assess how well your digital experience aligns with best practices, business goals, and business's own guidelines. By leveraging Evaluations, you can:
- Ensure a predictable evaluation of your guidelines.
- Set scoring and goal benchmarks to track improvements over time.
- Identify optimization opportunities more efficiently.
Unlike Evaluations, which assess how well your design aligns with known guidelines, Ideate with AI allows you to explore opportunities freely, making it ideal for brainstorming and innovation.
Coming up with optimization ideas can be time-consuming, especially when trying to align them with business goals and user needs. Ideate with AI helps streamline this process by generating hypotheses and ideas based issues you know exist in your customer experience. Whether you have questions specific design elements or particular experience problems, this feature enables you to quickly explore potential improvements.
Navigating the View Detail Page
- Ideation filters – In addition to filtering evaluation guidelines by device, the AI will also use the selected Goal when considering the ideas it generates for guidelines that are not in line.
- View state menus – Switch the view state you are evaluating using the view state menus
- Ideation tabs – Switch between Evaluations and Ideate with AI.
- Ideation results – whether you're running evaluations or ideating with AI, your results will appear here
- View preview – A device-specific screenshot
